We are going to collect used postage stamps on behalf of the ‘Hearing Dogs for Deaf People’ charity. Just by tearing the stamps off letters, parcels and postcards you receive you can raise vital funds for Hearing Dogs. In 2006 recycled stamps helped the charity to part-train a hearing dog called Penny, a black Labrador. Hearing dogs change lives. They alert their deaf owners to sounds we take for granted, providing greater independence, confidence and security. A Hearing Dog (and his owner) will soon be visiting our school to lead an assembly so that we can find out more about the amazing work that he does to help his owner.

Perhaps you could ask your workplace to save their stamps for us as well?
